(VOVworld) – A photo exhibition entitled “Uncle Ho’s soldiers-most beautiful people” opened in Ho Chi Minh city on Sunday.

The 100 photos on display depict soldiers training on battlefields, their everyday life and the bonds between soldiers and ordinary people. Major Ngo Phuc Thuan of the Ho Chi Minh city Port Border gate said: “I’m proud to be a soldier of the Vietnam People’s Army. I’m aware that we all need to live and work to live up to the example of our predecessors, who laid down their lives for what we have today.”

A compilation of nearly 100 literary works featuring 56 authors’ admiration for the feasts of arms of national heroes, war martyrs and soldiers was published on this occasion.
