(VOVworld) - Phu Tho province held a ceremony to honor national legendary founders Lac Long Quan and Au Co at the Hung Kings Temple relic site on Saturday.

Dragon Lord Lac Long Quan and Fairy Au Co were said to have given birth to 100 children, who were then established the first state of Vietnam.


Ha Ke San, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, said: “This ceremony is held every year on the 6^th day of the 3^rd lunar month to honor our national founders Lac Long Quan and Au Co. This is a time for us to demonstrate the spirit of national unity. Phu Tho province is standardizing rituals so that similar ceremonies will be held nationwide to show respect to our ancestors.”
