(VOVworld) – A ceremony to receive UNESCO’s certificate recognizing Hung Kings Worshipping Ritual as an intangible heritage of humans is to take place in April 13.

The event will coincide with the Hung Kings’ death anniversary and the opening of this year’s Hung King Temple Festival. Ha Ke San, Vice Chairman of Phu Tho’s People’s Committee, said that the event will include a ritual and art performances. San said ‘We anticipate that this year, a great number of Vietnamese people both inside and outside the country as well as foreign visitors will either visit or pay pilgrimage to Hung Kings Temple. Thus preparations for the event have been enhanced. In regards of the awarding ceremony, we have developed a script and made detailed preparation plan which will involve the participation of many local people. The upgrading of infrastructure to be used for the program have been sped up and ready for the honoring program and the 2013 festival.’  

Last December, UNESCO recognized Vietnam’s Hung Kings worshiping ritual as part of the world’s intangible cultural heritage. The recognition proves the vitality of the Vietnamese spiritual culture and the international integration.
