(VOVworld) – President Truong Tan Sang on Saturday met with 40 outstanding young business people on the 20^th anniversary of the Vietnamese Young Entrepreneurs Movement and the 10^th anniversary of the Vietnam Gold Star Award. Established in 1993, the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs’ Association now has its affiliates in all provinces and cities. Its nearly 10,000 members have generated jobs for more than 2.5 million workers and have an annual revenue of approximately 25 billion USD. The Vietnam Gold Star Award has attracted the participation of more than 5,000 brands and products, of which more than 1,500 have been awarded. It has become a prestigious award, helping to raise the prestige of Vietnamese products and trademarks in the international economic integration process.

President Truong Tan Sang said that the party and state support the development of businesses in national economic growth. He added that increasing competitiveness in the context of international integration is crucial. Vietnam has joined many international organizations including WTO and APEC and has signed trade agreements with several countries. This poses both challenges and opportunities for Vietnamese businesses to develop and further penetrate into the world market.
