(VOVworld)- On Wednesday, President Truong Tan Sang met with journalists representing media agencies on the occasion of the 90^th anniversary of Vietnam’s Revolutionary Press Day on June 21^st.

The President praised the journalists’ great contributions to national construction and defense. Sang said that journalists were in the vanguard of the cultural ideological guiding the public and making positive contributions to the major issues facing the nation and people. The Vice President of the Vietnamese Journalists’ Association Ha Minh Hue reported to President Truong Tan Sang on the major developments of the Vietnamese press. Vietnam now has 845 media agencies, and more than 1,100 publications. Many of these media agencies including the Voice of Vietnam, the Vietnam News Agency and Vietnam Television have upgraded their technologies and diversified into various media forms.
