(VOVworld) – Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung held a working session with the National Assembly Council on Ethnicity and the government Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs in Hanoi on Tuesday.

He said that the ethnicity policy is a strategic issue and an important task for the party, state and the political system, adding that its implementation contributes to national stability and sustainable growth. He said: “The ethnicity policy is a strategic issue. It helps to achieve national stability and sustainable growth and increase people’s trust in party and state policies.”

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung called for a general review to detect shortcomings and limitations in order to improve the ethnicity policy. He asked the relevant ministries and sectors to better care for ethnic minorities and improve education quality, personnel training and infrastructure in ethnic areas. He assigned the Ministry of Planning and Investment and the Ministry of Finance to arrange maximum resources for the implementation of this policy in the coming years.
