(VOVworld) - The 14th plenum of the 11th Party Central Committee closed in Hanoi on Wednesday.
After three days of working, members of the Party Central Committee reached consensus on the signing and ratification of the Trans-pacific Partnership Agreement, continuing to complete personnel preparations for the 12th National Party Congress and a list of nominations for key leadership posts of the Party and State of the 12th tenure.

The Central Committee generally agreed with the Politburo’s proposal on the tentative lists of the Presidium, the Secretarial Delegation, and the Commission for Investigating Eligibility of delegates attending the 12th Party Congress.
Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong delivered a key note at the closing ceremony affirming that the meeting was a success and completed preparations for the 12th National Party Congress as scheduled.
The plenum continued to receive great attention from the public nationwide. Nguyen Thanh Ly from Buon Ma Thuot City, Dak Lak province said “the conclusion by the Party leader helped me better understand of the signing of the TPP, joining this deal, and main points at the 14th plenum of the 11th Party Central Committee. The plenum was successful, where important issues were discussed in a serious, democratic, and open manner.”
Many people in Ho Chi Minh City like Pham Ba Lu have spoken highly of personnel preparations for the upcoming Party Congress.
Lu expressed his happiness “because the Party Central Committee made careful personnel preparations for the Politburo, the Party Secretariat, especially key leadership posts of the Party and State. The consensus reached at the meeting reflected the unity within the Party Central Committee and responsibility of each Party member.”
Nguyen Ngoc Dang Thu from district 10 in Ho Chi Minh City expressed her hope in key leaders of the future tenure. She said: “what I’m concerned most is that the final touch was made for the coming Party Congress, specifically nominations for key posts of the Party and State. I think this plenum was of high quality. Future leaders will continue the mission to drive the country in the international integration process. Party members in the city including me have high expectations of the success of the 12th Party Congress.”
With the outcomes of the 14th meeting of the 11th Party Central Committee, the public expressed belief in the success of the upcoming 12th National Party Congress.
“The 14th meeting discussed the personnel issue very thoroughly. Through discussion and vote of confidence, I believe that the 12th National Party Congress will be successful and competent leaders will be selected,” according to Le Duc Tho who lives in Da Nang.
