Seminar on “Positioning Vietnamese tourism brand”

(VOVworld)- A seminar on “positioning the Vietnam tourism brand” opened in Hanoi today/ on Thursday by the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism. This event aims to implement Vietnam's tourism development strategy until 2020 and vision towards 2030 and marketing strategy. The event also promotes local tourist activities and agencies.

Vietnamese tourism recently has seen rapid growth and become one of the countries in Asia-Pacific region to record the highest growth in tourism. However, Chairman of Viet Nam Tourism Association (VITA), Mr. Vu The Binh said that tourism is facing the high risk of unstable development: “Building Vietnamese tourism brand is one the most urgent and important tasks in this period. We will try to develop on our typical features as soon as possible, by which we can attract more tourists to Vietnam. More importantly, Vietnamese brands need to be promoted and renewed to attract tourists.”

Besides evaluating the current situation regarding building and developing tourist attractions, many suggestions and measures to position and develop Vietnam tourism in the future were discussed at the seminar.
