Strengthening the capacity of volunteerism for development in Vietnam
(VOV) – A conference reviewing the project “Strengthening the Capacity of Volunteerism for Development in Vietnam” was co-organized by the Ho Chi Minh Youth Union and the UN Volunteers in Vietnam.
The project which has been carried out from 2009 to 2012 includes developing the Viet Nam Volunteer Information Resource Centre (VVIRC) into a national agency in charge on promoting and supporting voluntary for development to better serve young and other vulnerable people in Vietnam. The project has positive impact on voluntary work in Vietnam by rallying and connecting volunteers to join socio-economic development activities. After the project completion, the VVIRC under the management of the Youth Union will continue its operation.
