(VOVworld)- The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union on Monday presented awards to 10 outstanding Vietnamese youths and 82 Youth Union Secretaries. The awardees have excelled themselves in youth union activities and contributed to society and national development. In his address, the First Secretary of the Youth Union Nguyen Dac Vinh said: “The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union expects and believes that each award winner will be an ambassador to convey a message of aspiration and contribution to other young people.  This will make Youth Union activities more attractive to its members inspiring them to contribute more to society and the nation. This is also a way for young people to show their gratitude to the Party, authorities and community for their support for youths and youth union activities”.

The same day, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan met with 82 outstanding Youth Union secretaries and students of the Vietnam Youths and Pioneers Academy. The Deputy Prime Minister highlighted youth’s important role in national industrialization and modernization.

Several activities to mark the occasion were held in Ha Tinh and Cao Bang province.
