(VOVworld) - President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Nguyen Thien Nhan visited Pitu Khosa Rangsay pagoda in Can Tho city on the occasion of the Chol Chnam Thmay festival of the Khmer people.

Nhan praised the pagoda for raising orphans and supporting their education. “The Khmer in Vietnam’s southwestern region celebrated the Chol Chnam Thmay festival with local support. On behalf of the Party, State, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front, I’d like to share the joy and extend the greetings of Vietnamese people nationwide to the Khmer people.” He presented gifts to 3 Khmer households in Xuan Khanh ward, Ninh Kieu precinct, Can Tho city and hailed their determination to escape poverty and contribute to their homeland.
