Vietnam optimistic about TPP negotiations
(VOVworld) – Vietnam’s chief TPP negotiator, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Quoc Khanh, said TPP negotiations could be completed soon. Negotiations with the US have focused on access to the US commodity market, particularly for Vietnam’s garment and footwear products, industrial products, steel, automobile parts, pork, beef, and chicken. Deputy Minister Khanh said: “Countries have praised the results of the recent round of negotiations and agreed that there will be another round of negotiations next November in order for the ministers to narrow their differences and reach their final decisions. If negotiating countries are flexible with one another as in Hanoi, we are optimistic that TPP negotiations will be completed soon.”
