Goods from Vietnam were put on display at Casino Gambetta supermarket, including fresh fruits, frozen spring rolls, shrimps, beverages, rice, and apparel. A workshop on Vietnam, a rapidly developing economy, was held on this occasion to facilitate enterprises with opportunities as the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) takes effect. Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Ho Thi Kim Thoa, said: “The EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement will promote trade relations between Vietnam and the EU, expanding more markets for export, especially products of their strength. As the agreement takes effect, major export items of the EU and Vietnam such as agricultural products, garments and textiles, footwear and seafood will enjoy preferential access to each other’s markets. The two sides will eliminate 99 percent of the import duties. With a market of 90 million people, Vietnam is a potential market for French enterprises to develop their business after the FTA takes effect”.
