Vietnamese leading travel companies honored
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnam National Administration of Tourism held a ceremony on Saturday in Hanoi to honor 91 leading Vietnamese travel companies to mark the 57th anniversary of Vietnam tourism sector.

Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam told delegates that the tourism development helps boost the economy and improve the lives of people, especially those from remote areas: "Vietnam tourism authorities need to be resolute and creative in resolving arising issues, thus improving the tourism environment quickly and sustainably. It’s essential for Vietnam Tourism Association and other professional associations to continue their policy recommendations."
In 2016, Vietnam welcomed more than 10 million foreign visitors, up 25% compared to 2015 and earned a total revenue of 17 billion USD. Vietnam welcomed 6.2 million foreign and 40 million domestic visitors in the first half of this year.
