Vietnamese people celebrate Tet 2016
(VOVworld) – New Year’s Eve celebration were held jubilantly across Vietnam. Major streets in Hanoi were packed with people waiting for fireworks displays in 31 places. A range of art performances were also held for entertainment.
Fireworks displays were held in 4 places in HCM city. Pham Thi Hue, an overseas Vietnamese from Australia, said: “The Nguyen Hue flower street looks more beautiful this year. I believe that Vietnam will have a faster pace of integration. This year will be a lucky year for the nation and everyone.”
A fireworks display was also held in Dak Lak province in the central highlands. Pham Anh Tuan, a resident of Buon Ma Thuot city, said: “I come here every year to watch the fireworks display and to enjoy the spring atmosphere. Everyone was excited.”
People in Can Tho and adjacent provinces gathered in the center of Can Tho city to watch the fireworks display and enjoy performances by the Hau river. Mai Long Thuy of Can Tho city said: “All streets are decorated beautifully and flower streets are marvelous. This Tet is very joyful.”
Performances were held in Kien Giang province to celebrate Tet and welcome the 2016 Tourism Year in Phu Quoc and the Mekong delta.
