(VOVworld)-The annual Vietnamese Poetry Day opens in many places across the country.

Vietnamese Poetry Day takes place various provinces

The Temple of Literature in Ha Noi hosted the launching ceremony on Sunday. Chairman of Vietnam Writers Association Huu Thinh was speaking at the event:”The Vietnamese Poetry Day has attracted a large number of participants  in various categories for universities and secondary schools and young people to promote the day’s sustainability. Participants from universities and clubs have gained more quality. This year event aims to praise the nation and the youth in national construction and defense.”The event included a demonstration of ancient maps depicting Vietnam’s national sovereignty in the East Sea and an exchange with an American veteran.

The northern province of Ha Nam held a similar event praising new poems about the homeland, the Party and President Ho Chi Minh. Doan Trang is visitor joining the Vietnam Poetry Day in Hoi An town“The event helps me understand more about the local culture. This is a unique annual festival very helpful for young people.”
