According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the garment sector earned 20 billion USD from export. That industry maintains its position as one of Vietnam’s top staple export products. The sector has seen steady export growth rates to the US, EU, Japan, the Republic of Korea, and ASEAN.

The garment sector’s achievement is attributed largely to the efforts of businesses to expand production and improve quality. Nguyen Thi Thanh Huyen, General Director of Garment Company 10, said: “We always ensure good quality and delivery time to meet customer requirements. In 2014, we set a target that each worker will increase their productivity by 10% to 15%. The company will seek new export channels and diversify designs.”

Trade revenues of agro-forestry and fishery products reached 27.5 billion USD in 2013, an increase of 0.7% over 2012.
