The association forecasts Vietnam’s garment and textile exports to the EU will surpass 4 billion USD in 2015, up from 3.4 billion USD in 2014.
Meanwhile, the value of Vietnam’s handicraft exports reached 1.6 billion USD in 2014, one year ahead of the schedule set by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. The US, the EU, and Japan are traditional markets for Vietnamese handicraft exports, accounting for much of Vietnam’s total exports of fine art and handicrafts. The Ministry has created several programs to boost handicraft exports by building and developing stable material zones, combining traditional fine art products with energy-saving technologies, and improving human resource training.
