(VOVworld) – On Tuesday, the Vietnamese embassy in the Czech Republic held a banquet to celebrate the lunar new year, Tet. Ambassador Truong Manh Son said Tet is a time for family reunion and showing gratitude to ancestors. A space highlighting Vietnam’s lunar new year celebration was opened at Dong Do Cultural Center in Prague. Mr. Truong Manh Son said: “We invited the diplomatic corps and other Czech friends to the event to learn about Vietnam’s lunar new year traditions of ancestor worship, Quan ho singing and Chau van (spiritual singing)”.

The program featured a Tet banquet, gifts of lucky money, and a pagoda visit to pray for health and good luck in the new year. Visitors enjoyed traditional new year food like Chung cake, chicken, and sticky rice.
A get-together to celebrate the Lunar New Year was also held at the Vietnamese embassy in South Korea.
