(VOVworld)- Ho Chi Minh City’s Labor Union has presented gifts to nearly 200 workers who suffered from work accidents. The event on Tuesday was to praise the efforts by the workers in overcoming difficulties. The municipal Trade Union highlighted the workers’ contribution to production and called for more efforts by local government and enterprises to support them in stabilizing their life.  

On the occasion of the International Labor Day, the central province of Quang Ngai offered free health check-up for workers in several local companies while the Dung Quat Trade Union held a football competition and art performances. Chairwoman of Quang Ngai’s Trade Union, Ngo Thi Kim Ngoc:“We have mobilized resources to build houses for needy workers. This year’s activities aim to honor outstanding workers and their contribution to social economic development in the province.”
