(VOVworld) – Russian politicians, analysts, and social activists praised the success of Vietnam’s 12^th National Party Congress. Senator Andrey Klimov, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council's Committee on Foreign Affairs, said the Communist Party of Vietnam will carry out reforms to boost economic growth and social development. Historian and Vietnam researcher Piotr Svetov said Vietnam’s Party Congress has drawn world attention because of Vietnam’s increasing global political and economic influence. He said the Congress creates momentum for the development of Vietnam-Russia relations.

A representative of Argentina’s Communist Party said Argentinean communists should follow Vietnam’s dynamic development under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, which has involved people from all walks of life in national modernization and construction in the context of globalization.

Sunthone Sayachath, Head of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee's Commission for External Relations, said she believes the traditional relationship between Vietnam and Laos will continue to prosper. The Vietnamese community in Laos has expressed their faith in the Party’s leadership. Kham Long, an overseas Vietnamese in Vientiane, said the Party Congress demonstrated a spirit of democracy and solidarity.
