(VOVworld) - Various activities are underway nationwide in response to the youth Month in March.

Addressing the launching ceremony for the Youth Month in the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc urged young people to accomplish their vanguard role in all fields, particularly the development of new rural areas. The Deputy Prime Minister said that the immediate task is to educate the young about the 81-year noble history of the Youth Union, encouraging them to stick to the State policies and Party’s guidelines to create breakthroughs in rural development towards a modern and civilized model.

During the Youth Month, Lao Cai young people will repair roads in rural areas, build houses for unfortunate people, communal houses for local cultural exchange and recreational centers for children. They will also engage in activities to protect the environment, clear rivers, and plant more trees and forests.

Earlier, similar activities in response to the Youth Month took place in central Quang Ngai province and Hanoi’s suburban district of Chuong My.
