The world community praises General Vo Nguyen Giap’s talent and character
(VOVworld)- The world media have widely covered the news of General Vo Nguyen Giap’s pass-away on October 4. The Associated Press described the General as a brilliant General, a national hero and a “red Napoleon” who defeated French army and US troops. US Senator John McCain wrote in his blog that “General Vo Nguyen Giap has passed away - brilliant military strategist who once told me that we were an 'honorable enemy'.

The Indian Hindu newspaper front paged the news story and praised Vo Nguyen Giap as a national hero and the 2nd figure after Ho Chi Minh. The media and Hong Kong and Taiwan China hailed the General as one of the most renowned figures of Vietnamese history in the 20th century.
