(VOVworld) – A exhibition of the historical evidence of Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Paracel (Hoang Sa) and Spratly (Truong Sa) islands will open in Bac Kan province next Thursday.

This will be part of the activities to mark the 20^th reestablishment of Bac Kan province and to promote the citizens’ sense of responsibility for protecting national territorial integrity. Nguyen Van Tao, Deputy Head of the Grassroots Information Department of the Ministry of Information and Communications, said:“This exhibition includes documents, maps, photos, and publications. There is also a pavilion showcasing Bac Kan’s 20 years of development and its contributions to safeguarding Vietnam’s marine and island sovereignty. A digital display of Spratly islands makes the exhibition more special.”

The exhibition will run until January 2, 2017
