(VOVWORLD) - Da Nang city’s People’s Committee has adopted the framework for the strategic action plan of the PEMSEA Network of Local Governments (PNLG) for Sustainable Coastal Development in Da Nang until 2030.

Da Nang city has worked with PNLG members and the global community to effectively implement the PNLG's strategic action plan towards 2030, focusing on the localisation of their selected goals, including water usage and conservation, initiative on solid waste and ocean plastic waste management, climate change adaptation, and the implementation of the post-2020 biodiversity framework in association with the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration.
The city will strengthen governance and partnerships in the management of marine and island resources and environment, carry out management programs, improve its monitoring, evaluation and reporting capacity, and participate in programs on integrated coastal zone management.
