(VOVworld) – The 9^th round of working-level negotiation on exclusive economic zone demarcation between Vietnam and Indonesia took place in Hanoi from November 28-29.

The Vietnamese delegation was led by Nguyen Duy Chien, Vice Chairman of the National Boundary Commission under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, while the Indonesian delegation was headed by Bebeb Djundjunan, Director for Political, Security and Territorial Treaties under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Negotiators from both sides continued their discussions on issues related to the delimitation of the two countries’ Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) boundaries based on the principles of the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).
