Program "Navy sponsored children of fishermen" is launched in Thanh Hoa province (Photo: qdnd.vn)

Under the program, Saigon Newport Corporation will sponsor the education of 6 children of fishermen in Thanh Hoa until they graduate high school. In addition, the children will each receive a bicycle and 122 USD a year to buy books and school supplies.

On this occasion, Saigon Newport Corporation also donated 6,500 USD to build 2 compassionate houses for 2 families of national contributors in Quang Xuong district and Nghi Son town and presented 50 gifts to poor and disadvantaged fishermen.

“Navy sponsors fishermen’s children” is part of a program by the Vietnam People’s Navy to help fishermen keep up with their jobs and contribute to protecting sovereignty of Vietnam’s sea and islands.
