The quiz helps raise public awareness of the importance and role of Vietnamese seas and islands in national development. It is held in the form of a weekly quiz at https://thibiendao.thuathienhue.gov.vn. The closing and award ceremony is scheduled to be held in early December.

Thua Thien Hue province has a coastline of 128 km with many beautiful beaches and scenic spots, in which Lang Co is listed as one the most beautiful bays in the world by the Worldbays Club.  

Thua Thien-Hue also owns the largest lagoon system in Southeast Asia, covering up to 22,000 hectares, spreading more than 70 km over 4 districts.
