Vietnamese in Japan protest China’s East Sea militarization

(VOVworld)- More than 200 Vietnamese people living in Japan and Japanese pacifists took to the street of Tokyo on Sunday to protest China’s acts of encroaching Vietnam’s sovereignty in the East Sea.
The demonstration was organized the Association of Vietnamese in Japan and covered by Vietnamese and Japanese media. Protesters distributed hundreds of brochures in Vietnamese and Japanese languages, publicizing China’s wrongdoings and called for the support of Japanese and foreign friends for the defence of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Vietnam.
Student Tran Van Sang, one of the protesters, said: “I don’t think that I have done something big, but contribute as much as I can. The protest cannot force China to immediately withdraw from Vietnam’s territory, but make it respect Vietnam. The Vietnamese have their own confidence about the territory that China has no rights to encroach. I want to speak out a Vietnamese voice”.
The same day, Association of Vietnamese in Japan send of letter of opposition to the Chinese embassy in Japan, urging Beijing to stop violating international laws and escalating militarization acts in East Sea territory claimed by Vietnam.
