(VOVworld) – Delegates to the 12^th National Party Congress said they believe the congress will map out directions for Party building and national development in the years to come. Phan Van Su, a delegate from Tay Ninh, said: “After listening to the Congress’s political report I believe that that Congress will be a success and its resolutions will contribute to Vietnam’s rapid, sustainable growth in the future.”
Delegates agreed that the Congress’s agenda promotes openness and democracy by reserving adequate time for discussions of documents, personnel criteria and organization of the Party Central Committee, elections, and the approval of documents. Hoang Van Toan, a delegate from Vinh Phuc province, said: “In an atmosphere of democracy, delegates are contributing to the Party’s important documents and the selection of competent personnel for the Party Central Committee, the politburo, the Party Secretariat, and key Party and State posts. These people will help Vietnam overcome current challenges to stimulate growth, safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity, and consolidate the Party.”
