(VOVWORLD) - The 16th National Radio Festival will be held in Thanh Hoa province from July 9 to July 14 with the theme “Vietnamese radio – diversity in digital transformation”.
The opening ceremony and closing ceremony will be held on Thursday and Saturday and will be broadcast live on radio and television by the Voice of Vietnam, other local radio and television stations, and on digital platforms.

At a press conference on Wednesday, VOV’s Vice President and Chief Organizer Tran Minh Hung said: “In recent years, the term "digital transformation" has become popular on mass media and in daily life. The Voice of Vietnam sees digital transformation as not just a transformation in technology and methods but also a transformation in thinking, awareness, and journalism system management. With successful digital transformation, we can increase our interaction with the audience, improve the quality of program, create a new business environment, and promote the development of press agencies.”
This year's Radio Festival will draw 81 agencies, the Ministry of Public Security, and the Ministry of National Defense. The Festival has received 380 entries competing for awards in news reportage, thematic programs, interviews, radio dramas, and ethnic language programs. There will also be awards for Golden Voice broadcasters, Excellent Production Techniques, Digital Application to Radio, and Podcasts.

Mr. Dau Thanh Tung, Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa province’s People’s Committee, said: “Thanh Hoa province hopes that national radio broadcasters, journalists, and reporters attending this festival will see the province’s tourism potential and socio-economic development in the past few years. We hope they will help us promote Thanh Hoa province as an attractive destination for investment and tourism development.”
In the framework of the 16th National Radio Festival, there will be conference on Broadcast Digital Transformation: International and Vietnamese Practices, an exchange for Cheo lovers, and a running competition.
