Vietnam, Ireland enhance communications cooperation
(VOVworld) – Voice of Vietnam Vice President Vu Hai talked with Ireland’s Ambassador to Vietnam Cait Moran on Thursday about communication cooperation between the two countries.

Mr. Hai told his guest about the Voice of Vietnam, which is a multimedia broadcaster, covering 99.5% of Vietnam’s territory. VOV runs 8 radio channels, two TV channels, one printed, and one online newspaper. The Voice of Vietnam has 6 domestic bureaus and 10 foreign bureaus.

Ambassador Moran gave VOV a DVD about Ireland’s uprising one hundred years ago as well as CDs of Irish folk music.

It has established relations with 60 foreign radio stations to exchange programs and promote each other’s culture. Mr. Hai hoped that Ambassador Moran would support cooperation between the Vietnamese and Irish communications agencies and foster their relationship.
