VOV celebrates 69th anniversary
(VOVworld) - Radio the Voice of Vietnam (VOV) will continue to implement its renovation strategy to master modern technology and produce quality output to better cater to the needs of audiences, VOV Director General Nguyen Dang Tien has said.

Tien entrusted VOV management and staff with the task at a Friday ceremony in Hanoi to mark the national radio’s 69
th anniversary. VOV was founded on September 7, 1945, five days after President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration, proclaiming the birth of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
VOV was established in a special circumstance, it carried out a special mission and accomplished it successfully, said Tien:
“VOV is striving to form a modern media group comprising audio/visual, online, and print services, modeled after other global media agencies. To this end, it is implementing a renovation strategy to make a breakthrough in its administration, programming and technical affairs, to better serve audiences in Vietnam and overseas.”
At the ceremony, Tien launched a special emulation campaign to mark the 70th anniversary of the national radio in 2015. VOV is currently preparing for the inauguration of a National Assembly Television channel, slated for October 2014.
