(VOVWORLD) - The Voice of Vietnam on Wednesday marked 73 years of its first overseas broadcast, and 20 years of its FM channel 105.5 MHz , targeting expats in Vietnam.

Addressing a ceremony held in Hanoi on Wednesday, VOVWORLD Director Nguyen Tien Long, underscored the significance of VOV’s broadcasting its first overseas programs in English, French, and Chinese on September 7th.
The service now runs programs in 12 languages, including English, French, Russian, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, German, Lao, Thai, Cambodian, Bahasa Indonesia, and Vietnamese. On September 7th 2018, VOVWORLD will broadcast its program in Korean.
In October of 2015, VOVWORLD launched its 24/7 English broadcast on 104 MHz, targeting foreign listeners worldwide, overseas Vietnamese, as well as English-speaking Vietnamese and foreign expats in Vietnam.
Every year, VOVWORLD receives 93,000 letters and phone-calls, from listeners of more than 70 countries and territories.
