(VOVWORLD) - Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Binh Minh held separate meetings with Japanese Foreign Minister Taro Kono and Managing Director of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Philipp Roesler in Da Nang City on Tuesday within the framework of the APEC 2017 Economic Leaders’ Week.

At Mr Minh’s meeting with the Japanese Foreign Minister, the two exchanged views on regional and global issues of mutual concern, including the East Sea, and agreed to strengthen cooperation at multilateral forums. Mr. Kono praised Vietnam’s efforts, initiatives, and hosting of the APEC 2017 Economic Leaders’ Week and APEC 2017 Year. He said Japan will work closely with Vietnam to ensure the success of the summit.
At Mr. Minh’s meeting with WEF Managing Director, Mr. Roesler said the Forum is ready to share its experience, offer consultancy, and help Vietnam connect with its members.
