Deputy PM Pham Binh Minh and other APEC economic ministers at the APEC Park opening ceremony

Each sculpture or artifact displayed in the park represents the culture of an APEC member. Indonesian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdurrahman M.Fachir presented his country iconic Pinisi boat: “It is a great idea. This could contribute to the APEC solidarity. Indonesia is the largest archipelago country in the world. This actually represent the icon of our country. Indonesia consists of more than 17,000 islands. This used to be the connecting tool between islands. It unites us. That’s why we choose it to contribute to the APEC Park. We thank Da Nang City for kindly hosting APEC, so we can showcase our country through this statue.”

Located West of the Dragon Bridge, APEC Park has a total area of 3040 m2, 25% of which is paved to form courtyards and pathways. The remainder is filled with trees and grass and a cultural artifact designed and built by each APEC member.
