100 Vietnamese businesses are attending the biennial event to introduce Vietnamese agricultural products.

Rice, pepper, cinnamon, star anise, cashew nuts, coffee, tea, dried fruits and vegetables, rice paper, noodles, vermicelli, fruit juice, and beverages are being sold at SIAL Paris 2024. These Vietnamese staples have been exported to the European market and other regions.

This year businesses have focused more on refined products, packaging, design, brand promotion, and higher quality to appeal more to the tastes of European and American customers.

The showrooms of Vietnamese businesses are open, friendly spaces with a unified look to impress visitors. Vietnamese businesses have met with partners to promote products, expand markets, embrace food industry trends, and find breakthrough ways to increase profits and reach out to the world.

Tunisian visitor Triki Llyes said: “I tried some Vietnamese dried fruits. They’re delicious, not too sweet, and have a natural flavour. I hope they’ll be sold not only in Europe but also in Africa.”

Vietnamese Ambassador to France Dinh Toan Thang said Vietnamese businesses should attend more international trade fairs. “More and more Vietnamese businesses attending SIAL Paris in recent years have built a national brand in France, Europe, and other markets.”

Now celebrating its 60th anniversary, the fair has been held every two years since the first SIAL Paris Fair in 1964.

This year’s theme “Mastering Change” signifies the need for the food industry to address climate change, supply chain disruptions, and technological advancements.
