(VOVWORLD) - Ho Chi Minh City's tourism industry has been making a strong recovery with growing revenue and visitors after the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. The city's tourism sector has diversified solutions to stimulate tourism demand during the remaining months of this year, focusing on renewing tourism products and services.

In addition to familiar tourist destinations, HCM City is offering special tours of districts to help visitors better understand the history and development of each district, its people, culture and cuisine.
Visitors are particularly impressed with the helicopter tour called "Viewing the city from above". On this tour, visitors can admire the landscape of Ho Chi Minh City from above by flying through landmarks such as Aeon Mall Tan Phu, Aeon Mall Binh Tan, RMIT University, Phu My Bridge, Thu Thiem Bridge, Landmark81 building, and Binh Quoi tourist area. On the service are AW-189 aircraft made in Italy which can carry up to 16 passengers and EC-155B1 aircraft, imported from France, which can carry up to 12 passengers.
Ms. Doan Thi Thanh Tra, Director of the Marketing Department of Travel Service Company, said that local travel companies are effectively exploiting local tourism products and services with sharp increases reported on weekends and holidays.
City tours have attracted both locals and visitors, domestic and foreign tourists alike. The city has renewed many tourism products and services to give visitors new experiences and engage them in community activities.
At a recent meeting to review the tourism sector’s performance in the first half of this year and set out tasks for the second half, Director of the city’s Department of Tourism Nguyen Thi Anh Hoa said that since early this year, Thu Duc city and districts have introduced 10 new tourism products and services. Ho Chi Minh City has also promoted waterway, nightlife, and MICE tourism, a type of tourism combining conferences and meetings, and organized seminars, exhibitions, events, and rewards to promote local tourism.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism has just announced its plan for the remaining months of this year. It has also continuously updated businesses with tourism information and urged them to innovate products and services. The sector plans to tap local tourism potential and strengthen regional links to recover and develop in the coming time.
