Quang Nam province has invested in developing and putting into operation applications to create a foundation for the formation of an e-Government, improve the efficiency of management, and better serve the community’s demand.
The province has piloted the Intelligent Operations Center (IOC) with 11 integrated modules to monitor and oversee socio-economic management, as well as the performance of the administration, education, and cyber security administration.
The province has systematically implemented digital transformation at all levels. Each district, township, and city has selected a commune to pilot a communication program to inform people of basic digital knowledge.
Pham Hong Quang, Director of the Quang Nam provincial Department of Information and Communications, said: “Quang Nam has thoroughly studied policies of the Government and the Ministry of Information and Communications. We have used a methodical approach and adopted a long-term vision to respond to the requests of the people and grassroots level agencies. We should enable people to access online public services as easily as buying and selling online. It’s digital transformation. We need not only technology but also mechanisms and policies. The whole political system in Quang Nam province has engaged in the national and provincial digital transformation programs.”
Quang Nam province has integrated sectoral databases to make it easier for all sectors to access information while administrative procedures and public services have been handled quickly and conveniently to save both time and money for the public.
Quang Nam province aims to process online 70% of administrative documents at the district level and 50% of documents at the communal level. The digital economy is targeted to account for 15% of the province’s GRDP by 2030.
