Since late September, PC-COVID application has been used as the single application to serve COVID-19 prevention and control. PC-COVID replaced all previous applications including Bluezone, NCovi, VneID, and tokhaiyte and serves QR scanning, medical declarations, and the declaration of domestic travel and close contacts. Together with a system of urgent tracing, this app helps trace contact of suspected COVID-19 infections after a few minutes.

Do Cong Anh, Deputy Director of the Computerization of the Ministry of Information and Communications, said, 'Electronic data will make it easier to search, trace, zone, and quarantine and make the fight against the pandemic more effective. The data is also provided to epidemiologists to analyze the disease and consult the Steering Committee to make accurate, prompt response measures.'

Phu Yen province is one of localities that have effectively applied IT in the fight against COVID-19. Local people are now updated quickly and efficiently on the pandemic situation and provided with ways to prevent the disease while the health sector can trace contacts of infections and prevent the spread of the pandemic.

Pham Dai Duong, Secretary of Phu Yen Party Committee, said, 'We have used software created by relevant ministries. We have updated pandemic data on a daily basis, even twice a day. This has made the fight against COVID-19 easier and more effective.'

The Department of Medical Treatment of the Ministry of Health has set up a remote center to support COVID-19 patient diagnosis and treatment. So far, the center has held hundreds of consultancy meetings. Robots and AI have been used in hospitals and the medical system. Most localities have used the telehealth application to provide medical support for COVID-19 patients.
