(VOVworld)- The New Year is on people’s minds in Vietnam. Streets are beautifully decorated. Art programs to celebrate New Year 2017 are posed to begin.

Many art and cultural activities will be held in Hanoi to welcome New Year 2017, including shows at August Revolution Square, in front of My Dinh National Stadium, in Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc square, in Thong Nhat Park, and at the Ly Thai To flower garden. Hanoi will also organize cultural and sports activities in each district. Mobile film screenings will tour the more remote areas of the city.

In Da Nang, a parade of motorcycles and sports bicycles will take place on Saturday and a competition of flower-decorated carriages under the theme “Da Nang- 20 springs” will be held. Da Nang will welcome 3 cruise ships to at Tien Sa Port - 2 Genting Dream ships with 7,000 passengers on board and the SS Virgo with 2,500 passengers on board. The first Silk Air flight from Singapore to Da Nang carrying 180 passengers will land at Da Nang on January 1.

The streets of HCM City have been beautifully decorated. On Saturday and Sunday, a special art program will be held at the Youth Cultural Theater. A Light Festival and a Carnival Festival will be held in Dam Sen Park. The Phuong Nam Art Theater and Japan’s Happy Dream Circus Company will host an international circus program featuring artists from Japan, Venezuela, and Argentina. A New Year Countdown will be held in the Nguyen Hue pedestrian street.
