Vivid Sydney is one of the world's biggest events of light. The Guardian has described it one of the most creative festivals in the world.
Held from May 26 to June 17th every year, Vivid Sydney gathers lighting artists from around the globe.
In more than 60 locations, global thinkers, creators, and lighting artists demonstrate digital technologies, movie magic, and mobile lighting art to turn out mesmerizing visual effects.
More particularly, at night Sydney is decorated with millions of advanced L.E.D lights in spectacular shapes.
The world-renowned projections on the Sails of the Sydney Opera House are a major highlight of this year's event, from where the festival is broadcast worldwide. These amazing light displays are inspired by the wonder of animals, plant life and the vast marine underworld or famous animated film characters.

During 18 days, the festival transforms Sydney into a wonderland of 'light art' sculptures. Lighting will also cover several major public places including St Mary's Cathedral, Sydney Harbor, the Museum of Sydney, and Hyde Park.
Vivid Sydney also offers an expanded program of multi-genre music including indie-rock, folk-rock, techno, and hip-hop.
For 8 years, the festival is an anticipated event by not only Australians but tourists from around the world. Sydney received 2.3 million visitors last year on this occasion, earning a revenue of 110 million USD per year.
