The Youth Union of Lai Chau province is calling on the public to reduce plastic waste, protect water resources, and build hygienic toilets. It will organize Green Sunday event on March 21 in communes and townships in the province.

At a ceremony on Sunday to launch Youth Month, the Da Nang municipal Youth Union presented 2,000 USD to a disadvantaged student to help him repair his house and set up 5 teams of volunteers to fight COVID-19, donate blood, and protect the environment, help people use IT to complete administrative procedures, and provide consultancy for startups.

A tree-planting festival was also launched on this occasion. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thao, Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang Youth Union, said, 'Through the tree-planting campaign, we want to raise our members’ sense of responsibility for making the city greener, cleaner, and more beautiful. Planting trees will also help generate income for young people.'

Several activities in response to the Youth Month 2021 and the tree planting campaign are also being organized in Cao Bang province.

Bui Quang Huy, Permanent Secretary of the Youth Union, said, 'In Youth Month, we focus on helping young people start a business. This is a time for young people to demonstrate their vanguard role and for youth union officials to mobilize support for union activities.'

Youth Month is recognized in the 2020 Law on Youth Affairs which took effect on January 1^st. Activities held during the month are intended to inspire in young people enthusiasm, voluntarism, and creativity  in national defense and development.
