More than 1,000 Chinese delegates participate in activities in 7 cities and provinces focused on environmental protection, cultural identity conservation, socio-economic development, tourism development, and art exchanges. In each locality, Chinese delegates will pay a courtesy visit to local leaders, plant friendship trees, hold cultural and sports exchanges with local youths, and visit local scenic spots. After touring the cities and provinces, they will return to Hanoi to attend the Vietnam-China Youth Exchange Program, which will be attended by 5,000 young people and representatives of Vietnamese and Chinese leaders.
The event is co-sponsored by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Communist Youth League of China to implement the common guideline of the two countries’ top leaders on enhancing people-to-people exchanges, especially among youths. The venue for the festival will be Vietnamese and Chinese localities on a rotation basis. The exchange program is part of activities to foster friendship and share the aspirations for peace, stability, development, and prosperity of Vietnam and China.
Under the theme "Vietnamese and Chinese youths join hands to foster friendship", the festival is expected to strengthen the Vietnam-China traditional friendship.
