(VOVworld) – From Bac Ha town in Lao Cai province, it is about 25 km to reach Can Cau Market, one of the most unique markets in the Northern mountainous region of Vietnam. The market in Si Ma Cai district, is open every Saturday. This is a small but very colorful market, set in the mountains near the Chinese border. The market was set up by the Mong and Giay ethnic groups. Thousands of Mong people in their colorful dresses make the market attractive, especially for foreign visitors. Here every thing is on sale, such as clothes, sugar canes, honey, alcohol, corn, even dogs, horses, and buffaloe.
