Contemporary dance mixed with digital arts “Hakanai” performed in Hanoi Photos by L'Espace in Hanoi -   Tuesday, September 27, 2016 | 17:52:26 (VOVworld) – Contemporary dance mixed with digital arts, called “Hakanai”, was performed by France-based dancer Akiko Kajihara at Star Galaxy Theatre at 87 Lang Ha Street, Hanoi, on September 24. The show is part of the 6th “Europe meets Asia in Contemporary Dance”, an initiative of the network of European cultural institutes and embassies in Hanoi, in cooperation with the Youth Theater Vietnam and the Ho Chi Minh City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera (HBSO). Hakanaï is an old Japanese word which means fragile and transient, something is set on interfering with dreams and reality. Dancer Kajihara said that though some of her movements are extreme, the whole idea of “Hanakai” is something more a kind of an acceptance of human consciousness of the outer world. The images are on-stage animations that move with the dancer’s physical patterns according to the rhythm of the live sounds that he/she follows. The performance moves between reality and imaginary and explore the innermost depths of human beings. The combination of the dancer’s movements, light and media installations created an impressive effect. A group of 10-15 audience members took to the stage to experience their reactions to the digital installation.
