(VOVWORLD) - The Happy Road Museum is located beside the Young Volunteers Monument in Ma Pi Leng Pass, built to honor the young volunteers who constructed the Happy Road.
President Ho Chi Minh gave the name “the Happy Road” to Highway 4C from Ha Giang city to 4 rocky districts in the northern mountainous province – Quan Ba, Yen Minh, Dong Van, and Meo Vac.
The road was built in the 50s by tens of thousands of youth volunteers.

On September 18, 2019, the Meo Vac district People’s Committee coordinated with the Dong Van Karst Plateau Trade and Tourism Company to inaugurate the Happy Road Museum.
The Happy Road Museum, begun in June 2018 and completed in 8 months, now draws crowds of domestic and foreign visitors.
The Happy Road was built by human effort using only rudimentary tools.
