A: Lang Nu village in Lao Cai province is a case in point. On September 10 a devastating flash flood swept through the village, submerging the entire area. The disaster claimed the lives of 54 people. 13 are still missing. A temporary residence was quickly built to provide temporary shelter for the survivors while a new village is being built.
B : Each home is fully stocked with essential supplies to allow the affected people to stabilize their lives while waiting for permanent resettlement.

A: Ms. Hoàng Thị Cảnh, whose husband is still missing, is among those now living in the temporary residence. Canh says she is now feeling more secure as she cares for her two young children.
"When I took my children to school, they asked, 'Mom, we don’t have a house yet, can we still go to school?' Having a home again makes us feel secure enough to continue living our lives," said Canh
B: In addition to housing support, each family was given 8,000 USD. Hoang Van Diep, Head of Lang Nu village, said: “The people are very happy. Thanks to the care and support of the Party and the State, they feel more secure about food and shelter, which alleviates some of the pain they have endured."
A: Tran Trong Thong, Chairman of the Bao Yen district People's Committee, said relocation to the temporary housing area was organized as soon as construction was completed.
"We’ve ensured that people have the supplies and necessities they need to stabilize their lives as soon as they move into the temporary residence, while we work on constructing a new village," said Thong.
A: Construction of the new resettlement area for Lang Nu village is expected to be finished by the end of this year.

A: This week, Kalab Abbas of Pakistan expressed his interest in knowing more about the Hanoi Autumn Festival which is held to mark the capital’s 70th Liberation Day.

B: The Festival took place on the pedestrian streets around Hoan Kiem Lake from September 19 to 22. Visitors were treated to models of the "Victory Gate" which welcomed the liberation army’s return to Hanoi, the "Hanoi Flag Tower," the "Hang Co Railway Station," and "Quan Chuong Gate," as well as spaces highlighting Hanoi’s landmarks such as Long Bien Bridge and the Old Quarter.
A: A corner was reserved to showcase Hanoi's cuisine, with traditional dishes like Pho and Vong village’s green young sticky rice, combined with cooking demonstrations by renowned Vietnamese chefs. The festival left great impressions on the visitors.
