Many deputies said the revised law on Civil Aviation should tighten state management, improve the business efficiency of aviation enterprises, and ensure passengers’ rights.

Deputies said that in order to ensure optimum safety for flights, strict security rules on passengers and goods must to be imposed in line with the Constitution’s principle that all people have equal rights and responsibilities.
Ksor Phuoc, Chairman of the National Assembly’s Ethnic Council, said: "There are many concerns in airport operations, but the priorities are economic efficiency and security. Some aspects of airport security should be carried out by the state, not private companies. Airports and aviation activity are not only related to economic and external affairs but also national defense and security."

After debating the draft law on Public Investment, the deputies agreed that the National Assembly decides national key projects and the government is in charge of categorizing projects in each socio-economic development period. Some deputies said it’s necessary to include regulations on land clearance and transparency in public investment.

The 25th session of the National Assembly Standing Committee concluded on Friday.
