(VOVworld) - The 226^th anniversary of the Ngoc Hoi-Dong Da battle against China’s Qing invaders led by national hero Nguyen Hue was celebrated in Hanoi on February 23^rd, the fifth day of the first lunar month. The celebration featured several festive activities including an incense offering ceremony at King Quang Trung’s monument, a procession, dragon dances, martial art performances and folk games.

Earlier, a ceremony was held on Sunday at Quang Trung Museum in Kien My village, Tay Son district, Binh Dinh province to mark the occasion and to receive a certificate recognizing Tay Son-Tam Kiet Temple dedicated to Three Great Heroes in Tay Son as a special national relic. Ho Quoc Dung, Chairman of the Binh Dinh provincial People’s Committee, said: We’ll do our best to fulfill our predecessors’ wishes to protect our national sovereignty and independence, and further develop our home country to make it a growth center of Vietnam’s Central Key Economic Zone.
